Short-tailed Hawk @ FIU

We just observed a light morph Short-tailed Hawk circling the FIU campus while on a break. The hawk was circling over the lake when it dove straight for the ground at breakneck speeds. The bird swooped back up with incredible speed to go back into it's circling pattern reaching altitudes which we were unable to follow.
