Today while running at Baptist (Kendall) around 6:00 p.m. we saw a group of 4-5 small birds that were zooming around, skimming over the water and grass. They seemed to circle us for 2-3 minutes emitting single note "peeps." They had a rust colored rumps, more rust color on the shoulders and/or necks and light bellies. Could they have been cliff swallows? or perhaps a cave swallows? Would this be an typical location to spot either of these species?
