On June 10th Roxanne and I went to Wakodahatchee and Green Cay as well as Okeeheelee and had a great time. We saw many of the birds you listed with babies and also Limpkin with babies. We could not believe all the action going on! We saw interesting bird behavior and many Least Terns diving for food. One even came up and landed on the rail not far from us! Also last year I recall going to Wakodahatchee in June and seeing three Blackbird babies in a nest very near the boardwalk. They appeared to be only a couple of days old and the male was standing on the rail guarding them while the female went for food. So summer is a good time to visit there even if its hot. The bugs were not a problem. Actually, we saw more in the summer than winter, and seeing the babies makes the trip worth it.
