More babies. This not-very-smart Mockingbird built a nest no higher than 3 feet from the ground in the front yard. If the Mockers were not feeding their young, they were harassing the Screech Owl that has a nest box not more than 100' away! Not only that, I've got too many cats at the house, and just above the Mocker nest is a large oak tree with a nest of Loggerheaded Shrikes!! These babies had death coming from above and below! Needless to say, there are no more baby Mockingbirds in the nest. I saw the parents out on the front lawn singing and copulating again. Maybe they'll build their nest somewhere else & a little higher up!
