Hi Anna,
To answer your question, no it is not unusual to see Bald Eagls in southern Florida during summer. Elsewhere in the state, most of Florida's breeding eagles leave the state after nesting (most summer around Chesapeak Bay), but most eagles in the far south remain year-round.
