The Least Bittern has been consistently there for two years now, but is not always seen. I seem to see it more in summer, and always just when it flies and I'm looking by chance in that direction. It's always in the southern portion, so that might help next time you're there. Today I was scanning some Least Tern with the scope when I saw it fly. The Black Tern may be there again tomorrow feeding along the 248 St. canal. I also see them in August over the wastewater plant treatment ponds.
