I observed a fish crow unsuccessfully trying to break this egg. It seemed to get frustrated and then chase the stilts around, probably to get at their eggs. Looking at the size, shape and color of the egg, I wonder if it's an Egyptian Goose egg. There is a pair that is consistently seen.
