its funny--last year i had only 1 wave all spring in my backyard in boynton and had a perfect first year male mowa wth large black spot on its chest--i really studied the fab drawings in warb of the americas so this was easy for me--to settle this im going to order pyles key book -im sure it will say first year mowa can look like this--however i will bet it calls it ALTERNATE plumage thanks for input bill
