But I'd like to see more photos before giving my two cents. You're bringing up some good points but it's always nice to hear what other folks have to say, I'm sure the rest will be chiming in soon. No one is trying to prove you wrong, remember this birdboard is a learning experience for even the most seasoned birders. The other poster has a point about the plumage you're suggesting versus the time of year. Still, I agree - the bird certainly has field marks pertaining to an immature Mourning Warbler. Talk about wrong plumage and a little late.

I'd take a Mourning over a Connecticut ANYDAY. It's the rarer warbler down here and if it turns out it's what it is, then great find John!
