where are the purple swamphens?

I am planning on driving out on Alligator Alley and onto Government Road this Friday looking for good photo opportunities for crested caracaras and purple swamphens. Does anyone have recommendations for the best locations to get close enough for good photos of swamphens. The last 2 times I went out to the wetlands by the West-Broward library, there were no swamphens at all.
