After the bird walk, Bob invited me to go into the Matheson marina to look for some more birds. In about an hour, we picked up about 12 extra birds from our earlier list. Here's what we saw.. the 4 species of shorebirds allowed us to get VERY close--10-15 ft.!
Killdeer
Wilson's Plover
Spotted Sandpiper
Semipalmated Sandpipers
Ruddy Turnstones
Yellow-shafted Flickers
Chimney Swifts
Common Yellowthroat(in a small palm, at the shore)
Laughing Gulls
Ring-billed Gulls
Frigatebird
Brown Pelican
Royal Terns
Fish Crows
Palm Warblers
Thanks, Bob, we ID some extra birds and you gave me a wealth of knowledge on the extras we saw.
