3 Smooth-billed Ani's were observed off of Old Griffen Road on 8th Ave. in a tall shrub next to the metal power poles by the (yellow)warehouse on 2/29/08. They were very close to the road. The time was about 5:30 p.m. I went back through the archives and saw people have been looking for an update, so I stopped by. Luckily I saw them within 3 minutes of turning onto 8th Ave. Old Griffen Road can be located south of the Ft. Lauderdale airport from US.1, just south of the Dania cut-off canal turning right or from Griffen Road east of I-95 just past the first light bearing to the right onto Old Griffen Road. The warehouse is about half the way to US 1. Good Luck.
