I went to AD Barnes this morning and found more cats than birds. Most were around and inside the nature center hammock area hunting. I watched several hunting and killing small lizards. There was a different cat at every location I am use to seeing sculkers. I also found plastic containers throughout the hammock that were obviously being used to feed the cats.
I'm going to start taking license plate numbers to cars that the cat feeders are driving and take photographs. The Cats are much worse this year than last.
I only saw a couple of BT Blues, Prairie and Red Start. I saw the resident Coopers and a Red Shouldered. I also heard a Brown Thrasher and Screech Owl. I only did a quick drive around the parking lot area which seemed quiet except for MORE CATS!!!! Ovenbirds will not have a chance when they arrive unless they pass over AD Barnes.
