Starling Squatters

I had barely finished hanging an expensive screech owl house in my mahogany tree when an overreaching starling began heaving the wood chips to the ground and bringing in leaves.

Does anyone know how I can keep these non-native, winged rodents out and still allow the adorable little raptors a place to make a decent home for their family?
