Bananaquit - third time is a charm(pics)

Hi everyone we finally were able to see the Bananaquit after trying two other times before. The bird came in after a little rain where we waiting for about 15 minutes before it showed. There was a scuffle on the ground to the right of the bottlebrush tree as Mariel looks into the bushes down below I saw a bird fly in and land right above me...the Bananaquit!
This is the moment we were waiting for. We quickly observed it in our binos, photographed and then videotaped it while it foraged for about 45 minutes at about 3 pm. We left the bird hunkered down into the middle of the bottlebrush tree barely visible. It was absolutely beautiful little bird, an awesome lifer and our bird of the day!
