I headed north this morning thinking it was going to be good for photography at Green Cay, I was wrong. I did get some shots and a couple of year birds, but it was over cast and I risked missing the Bananaquit in Hollywood.
When I arrived at the Bananaquit spot there were several birders and a couple of the locals looking into the Bottle Brush. I thought Yeah, all I have to do is park and get my look and back home I go.
Turns out I had missed the bird by a half hour and it was looking like rain. I stayed for about an hour and a half and was thinking of leaving when Dan Irizarry showed up. Within 5 minutes we were looking at the bird and two other birders showed. My luck in Broward is getting better!
