Hey birders, a pair of birds entered my nest box and started bringing sticks to it. Its not a red0bellied woodpecker how I wanted to, its a European Starling pair. Yesterday I saw them starting to inspect the nest box. Today their guarding the nest box and their territory. Well, at least theirs something on my nest box. I got my camcorder and I recorded the pair of European Starlings. I saw the red-bellied woodpecker go to my tree and the starlings attacked them immediately.
The baby chick survived that night and in the morning I put it one the nest and then the baby came off the nest. I suppose that the chick can almost fly from it. Good Birding
