Hi everyone,
Back to Quebec with 140 species observed in your beautiful Florida. 2 lifers: Black-neck Stilt...there were about 10 in Myakka River State Park; and the Brown-headed Nuthatch which we got, thanks to you, at the BWMA. We searched around Myakka Road for the Caracara without any chance...next year maybe...
We didn't get to see the Red-cockaded Woodpecker. We waited for a while close to the spot on Oil Well, then at a spot on Tucker Grade...without any chance.
We were wondering if the pink ribbons indicated the tree itself where they rest or the area. We noticed that some trees had orange ribbons and somme others had a white-painted circle at their base. Could someone explain the meaning of these please?

Since it was a two-hour drive from Treasure Island, we went in the afternoon. If we go in the morning, at what time would we have to arrive there to see them?
