Actually, I was hoping to have the birds perch on me or my friend, having been habituated to such avian behavior at the Parrot Jungle, where every friend or relative who came to visit over the last 30 years(til they moved) posed for the obligatory multiple macaws-on-the-head-and- shoulders picture...
I am relatively new to this wild bird photography business, and something as simple as bringing one's one props for the birds simply eluded me--shoulda known about it before I went to Ecuador(twice)---any suggestions for this summer's trip to Peru? I do want a perched eagle of some sort...
Seriously though--the advice, and the prior instructions on where to see the bird is most appreciated--while my friend may not foreswear duck hunting, he will , in the future be sporting a new pair of Nikon Monarchs and a newfound interest in and appreciation for birds smaller than dinner portions...
