Thank you Robin for organizing such a fun & successful CBC. Also thanks to everyone that participated along with us during the count. Awesome job by the last counters finding such great birds late in the event. We had a bundle of fun awaiting the calls of the Woodcock in 50 degree weather with an occasional wind tunnel gust. The birds were hard to locate due to the combination of both the cold and the wind the birds seemed to have hunkered down. We did manage to find some cool birds during our Pinelands Team survey with two GHOW hiding in the trees, a beautiful Black-throated Green and 5 species of Woodpecker. Swarms of Swallows filled the skies all day keeping us looking up at some spectacular fly patterns. With a Hermit Thrush and the Brown-crested Flycatcher rounding out our day, we were happy to have participated in such a good CBC.
The Pinelands Team Rocks...
Nature is Awesome
