Good evening,
While I still can't turn the photographed bird into a Summer Tanager, the saga of David Luneau's videotaped woodpecker -- the identity of which continues to be debated by the continent's most eminent ornithologists -- has taught me that arguing against a field identification based on, shall we say, less-than-stellar photographic/videographic proof, is pretty pointless.
I have plenty of other things to do with my time.
