Hi Everyone,
Today we got a late start birding but made the best of it anyway. We had originally planned on going to LH and looking for the Short-eared Owl and then heading over to look for the Scissor-tailed Flycatcher as both would have been Lifers! We decided to bird close to home since sundown was quickly approaching. We were able to relocate the Ruddy Ducks from a couple of days ago, then went over to some open fields to look for Swallows. We found a nice group of Tree Swallow, and a cooperative A. Kestrel. Here is what we saw...
Ruddy Duck
Mallards
Muscovy Duck
Pied-billed Grebe
Belted Kingfisher
Anhinga
DC Cormorant
Cattle Egret
Great Egret
Great Blue Heron
A. Kestrel
Tree Swallow
Common Grackle
Boat-tailed Grackle
Turkey Vulture
Black Vulture
Laughing Gull
Prairie Warbler
Yellow-throated Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler
Palm Warbler
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Mourning Dove
Eurasian Collared Dove
Hope we did not forget anyone...
Nature is Awesome
