Went to AD Barnes this morning at 7:00 AM. Nothing really exciting but just fun to be out. Saw the following:

From the parking on the north end:
Blue Jays
Mockingbird
Palm Warblers
Pine Warblers (in the pines)
Red-Bellied Woodpeckers
Mourning Dove
Cardinals

In the hammocks (north end):

Cooper's Hawks (at least two, possibly three, adults) One lunged at a squirrel and barely missed. Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher, the chicken and a Pekin? Duck.

Overhead: a large flock of at least 20 White-Fronted Amazons, Yellow-Chevroned Parakeets, both grsckles, starlings, rock and collared doves

By the canal on the north end: Great Egret, Kestrel and Killdeer

By the lake facing Bird Road: Muscovy Ducks, many white ibis (one caught a frog/toad and the whole flock of about 50 and the Muscovies were after it, trying to take the prey away. The ibis managed to eventually swallow it.), Moorhen, Red-Winged Blackbird

In the brushy area by the lake: Prairie Warbler and heard, but did not see, Catbird, and what was probably a House Wren.

And finally, a Blue-Headed Vireo in the park-like section, on a Gumbo Limbo.

A lady showed up with food and called about 20 cats which showed up out of nowhere!! Also saw a cat stalk a squirrel, but it did not manage to get it. The White Ibis flock also tried to get in on the food but the lady shooed them away. I like cats, but not in the park.
