The decline in waterbirds is probably much more due to the lack of suitable habitat due to rampant overdevelopment and poorly planned development (as in, no planning for habitat connectivity), rather than the increase in Cooper's Hawks (although the hawks may play a part). Still, I'm glad that Cooper's Hawks are eating the collared doves, SOMETHING should.
