I agree with the abundance of Coopers Hawks in Dade. I have gone birdwatching to four different areas in Dade this past week: Indian Hammocks, Fairchild, Matheson, AD Barnes, and have seen Coopers in all of them (they were all immatures). They are also regular near my home in Kendall and I even intervened and saved a Collared Dove at work from one when they both tumbled to the ground in the parking lot (I was criticized by one Grover for this). I hardly remember them ten years ago. I am glad to see them but not to the detriment of all the other cool birds in this county.
