This morning I found a Philadelphia Vireo at Lucky Hammock; it seems to be attracted to a Florida Trema near the northeast corner of the hammock. At the southwest corner of the hammock, I flushed four Northern Bobwhite. On the east side of Aerojet Road, across from the hammock, a pair of Sandhill Cranes flew directly over my head. At the Annex, I was unable to relocate the Wilson's Warbler or Bell's Vireo. Trey and Tricia were also present, hopefully, they had better luck after I had to leave for my birding class (more 6th graders from Devon Aire K-8 Center). We did see the Least Flycatcher, a lifer for Tricia. Other birds seen before I left included Eastern Kingbird, Tennessee Warbler, Ovenbird and Painted and Indigo Buntings. Sightings at Royal Palm Hammock included Short-tailed Hawk (light morph), Eastern Phoebe and Magnolia Warbler.
