The TAS group regularly walks the birding hotspots in Miami with a group of usually 15-30 birders. This would be your best bet when coming to Miami. There are are very experienced and friendly group of birders. There will be only one such walk left by the time you make it out here. Here is the info.

Sat. Oct. 27 Shark Valley / Loop Road Birding
Paul Bithorn will lead this carpool trip. Meet at 7:00am at the east gate (SW 55th Ave.) of the Doc Thomas property(5530 Sunset Drive, South Miami). Bring lunch. Walkie talkies
are recommended.

There are plenty of spots that you can check out with some of us just put what dates you are available to bird on your next posting. Good luck don't miss Miami's diverse ecosystem while you are here it is beautiful place. Make sure you make it out to the Everglades.
