Hi Susan-
There is a bird ( an exotic from Africa, namely the east coast) called a " red winged starling", or, Onycognathus morio. I found a picture of it in "Birds of the World" by Harrison and Greensmith ( p. 374).
I find this book to be invaluable when IDing exotics...
