I got to say that we had a great day during our walk at the Cape today. Migration seems to be just around the bend. We enjoyed seeing the swarms of swallows today. After we split we had lunch by the beach and observed gulls and terns for a while before running into a few more of those lizards. Thanks for your company and knowledge in the field.
We really enjoyed the Merlin in the scope, looked as if the Barn Swallow never had a chance...
The time spent watching the Short-tailed Hawk was a short but an exciting moment!
Thanks again for your knowledge on different flight patterns of the swallows & hawks. We really appreciate it.
We are still researching the lizards we were observing.
