Hi Alex,

I've birded the UWF area for several years now. I'm glad you posted about the fall migrants starting to arrive. Have you birded along the UWF Preserve bike trails and power line cut between Greenbrier Blvd and the Crist Power Plant? I've seen several Cerulean Warblers, Warbling Vireo, Lark and White-crowned Sparrows, Merlin, etc on migration over the last couple of years out there. If you've been to the power line cut you've probably seen all the habitat destruction now taking place by the ATV and 4 wheel drive riders. The signs prohibiting motorized vehicles were blown down by the hurricanes and now the area is being destroyed, not to mention the construction debris, garbage, old car parts, etc that are being dumped out there. Along the power line cut, Yellow-breasted Chat, Blue Grosbeak, Indigo Bunting, Towhee, Brown Thrasher, E. Bluebird, etc. breed there so you know the noise and destruction from the ATVs must be negatively impacting the birds and other wildlife! Any ideas how we can get new signs put up

Keep up the bird postings! Thanks.
