Well I am here and settled in Pensacola. Walking a bit of the campus and playing a bit of soccer yesterday around my dorm building, I kept and eye out for the birds. My room is facing an on campus nature preserve, so I am able to bird from the second floor of my building.
Just yesterday I saw or heard the following:
Red-tailed Hawk
Downy Woodpecker
Northern Flicker
Pileated Woodpecker
Eastern Kingbird
Brown-headed Nuthatch
Carolina Chickadee
Carolina Wren
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Brown Thrasher
Eastern Bluebird
American Robin- nine flying south (post beeding dispersal?)
Yellow-throated Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler
