Apparently this is not a joke. Folks in Australia have invented a neoprene cat "bib" that prevents cats from catching wild birds. You can see the item at: http://www.catgoods.com/index.html

Your "bibbed" cat may end up hating you, but at least you can now take him out to dinner to make up for his lack of wild bird snacks.
