Toe and I lead a spur of the moment trip up to the Sod Farms with a visitor Bonnie from DC, Paul B., Alex, Tricia and her sister. It was HOT!!!!. 
 
Paul actually led most of the trip but wanted us to be called the leaders in case the trip bombed. We had a great time except for the heat. 
 
Around noon we were there when the Curlew Sandpiper was spotted. We ran over to where the bird was seen and scanned the field for hours with out any luck. The birds did fly while we were on our way over to the spot. Some landed in the field again other moved on. We continued on our trip picking up the couple of year birds we were hoping for and returned to the Curlew spot for one more look, but nothing....
