This afternoon there was a Wilson's Phalarope in the SE quadrant of Cutler Wetlands, about 100 yards west of 97 Ave, and across from the No Dumping sign. I first saw it flying around looking for a spot to land, but it just wouldn't land. I thought this would be a cruel joke, having such a great bird flying around and not getting the chance to get good looks. Luckily, it finally landed and just stood there. THe bird was almost completey in basic plumage. There were also Least, Semipalmated, Stilt, Pectoral, both Yellowlegs, Dowitchers, and two Caspian Terns. Trey was there earlier and spent more time so he might add a couple species.
