Cats will stalk birds around my feeders every now and again. I've noticed that cats cannot stand moth balls. So I get a box or two of moth balls at the Dollar Store and place them around the feeders. No more kitty kat. However, you do end up replenishing the moth balls more often in the rainy seaason. Give it a try.
