they like to pull off the gill plates first to have access to the head and then work their way down.
small bones may be incidentally consumed, but I remember picking up plenty of half eaten carcasses,mostly skeletons, from the rehab birds I used to feed.
Fish heads, fish heads, eat them up yum....
