Every once in a while I have what appears to be a Chuck-will's-widow flying around my property. It likes the wooded area in back and roosts there during the day. I only see it when I wander out back and spook it. It's bigger than a Nighthawk and without the wing bars. It has more of a chestnut color than a Nighthawk. When it flies, it'll always comes back to my woods for the protection, I guess. It hung around most of the winter & spring, but I haven't seen it lately.
