I was only joking, but:

Maybe some of these may have been uncommon Spring sightings, but I saw the following in South Florida:

Marbled Godwit 5/28/05
Gull-billed Tern 5/28/05
Swainson's Warbler 4/9/05
Red-eyed Vireo 3/11/05
Blackpoll Warbler 3/11/05
Chimney Swift 3/7/05
White-rumped Sandpiper 5/9/06
Yellow-billed Cuckoo 4/9/05
Least Tern 4/15/05
Wilson's Warbler 4/2/05
Whimbrel 4/29/06
Blue Grosbeak 2/20/05
Cape May Warbler 3/11/05
Black-whiskered Vireo 3/30/05
Scarlet Tanager 4/15/05

It was a joke. Perhaps not a good one, but a joke. Thirty-four species, including pelagics! I was only joking about 34 species, but when Brian asked, I decided to look at the posts and do a list. Many of the species on my list were in fact seen down here recently, but since they weren't reported on this board how would I know? It worked, some good birds just got reported. As far as birding in general, I see this as the slowest spring I've seen in the short time I've been birding, but hopefully I'm wrong. We should know in about 3 weeks how spring turn out.
