At least I hope so......We installed an owl box last fall on the east side of our house under the eaves just outside the bedroom window. Many Eastern Screech Owls have appeared in our yard in the trees, on the fence, on top of the birdfeeder, on top of the window ledge, on top of the owl box, and finally INSIDE of the box. I have heard it calling from within and rustling about inside of the box. Last evening around 7:30PM I saw one poke it's head out of the hole. This morning again I heard calling and stirring inside of the box. When I went outside to look, the Eastern Screech Owl was perched with head poking outside of the hole, looking around, then dozing on and off. As I write this at 10:00AM another owl is in the trees nearby calling and the one in the box is responding. Trey, I need you stop by and take some pictures!
