Went to ENP today to see if any kites have been thru yet and also to try to relocate a yellow warblerish bird that Julie had seen yesterday.
Dipped on the yellow guy but did see two SWTKs way up in a thermal looking down as they moved thru the area.
I'm starting to feel like a junkie that needs a Kite fix,I have fears that the birds will appear and I will be stuck at work or some equally boring place.
In the meantime, we did find Mark's bluebirds and a nuthatch or two at Long Pine Key.
THe nuthatch was in the pines along the shore of the "lake", most notably on the tree with the red and a little piece of blue plastic stuck in its branches. It kept flying back and forth from the waters edge to the trees.
THe blue bird pair, a gorgeous male (banded-silver left and red and white right leg) and his woman were next to the second bathroom building. See next post for pic.
Julie went across the road and saw more nuthatches and bluebirds and other birds from the road side looking west.
