This year we have lost alot of the old guard of birders in south Florida-Dick Cunningham, Bob Kelley, Mort Cooper and Sandy Sprunt. People I have know and respected for 35 years since a young teen birding. It is up to us to maintain the level of education, research and conservation that these men gave a lifetime of dedication to. I truly appreciate and south Florida is a far better off place for all of their efforts.
