I think the bird store ( Simbads Bird house) is mostly hookbills and canaries. Then again, the singing bird in 2005 could have been a canary. I have never seen a house finch in a bird store, but stranger things have happened.
Their song is one that sticks in your head. I hear them every year when I visit Lady Lake ( Fl).
