One of the only House Finches I've seen in Ft. Lauderdale was a yellow varient. I myself have seen a House Finch in Dade County. This was a singing bird in Biscayne Park sometime in late winter in 2005 (?). I would imagine they are not too popular in the bird trade. Remember, there is a pet bird store right across the street from A.D. Barnes. Perhaps we should check there for House Finches or find out if any have escaped from there.

P.S. Any Hermit Thrushes still around at Barnes?
