Short-tailed hawks are more urban than I had previously thought. I work at a museum off Biscayne Boulevard 1.5 miles north of downtown Miami and have had a pair of dark phase short-tailed hawks wintering in the area for the three years I have worked there. A few Sharpies and Cooper's are in the area and I occasionaly see Swainson's as well.
