There were flocks of 6-12 females at Sadowski this fall(I met Toe there the day the feral cat murdered one of the females), but I never saw the male who allegedly hangs around there. And the birds at corkscrew(there were 3 males at the feeder at one point simultaneously) clearly are somewhat habituated to the large numbers of clomping spectators who pass by the feeder or stop to oogle the paparazzi carrying 600 mm lenses trying to snap the buntings when they're NOT on the caged feeder. And the fella in the photo spent a good 2 minutes carefully approaching(as others here have noted about male bunting behavior) through the bushes before leaping over to the feeder for his meal. Most importantly, however, one must remember the principle that the frequency and proximity of the bird's appearance is in inverse relation to the size of the lens on your camera.
