We watched the late shift yesterday at Wakodahatchee and saw lots of exciting new birds and signs that Spring is here. There were 4 Black-necked Stilts hanging out in the far north pond, and a huge flock of Cedar Waxwings flew in just before sunset. The Purple Swamphen is still there and easy to see in its new digs just north of the entrance stretch of the boardwalk. Many many butterbutts and Sora and Snipes all out in the open. Many green-wing Teal are easy to see here too.

Thursday at Green Cay we saw a couple of American Robins - not exactly the swarms we had here in 2005, but still great to see.
