According to my field notes from last year, the Sora were very easy to spot in the first week of March, but disappeared shortly thereafter. I'm guessing that they feed heavily prior to migration. The Least Bittern started showing themselves in April, when the American Bittern disappear. They are obvious for most of the summer.
