A late afternoon stop at Cutler Wetlands produced a decent bunch of birds. Nice to see things still around in this place.
Northern Harriers - 2 either fighting or courting (same thing)
Peregrine
Lots of waders
Hooded Merganser - 4 in the lake on the east side of 97th
Blue- and Green-winged Teal
Wilson's Snipe - 3 in the same scope view, but there are probably more
Humpback Dowitchers
Smoothback Dowitchers
Both Yellowlegs
Stilt Sandpipers
Western Sandpiper
Least Sandpipers
Cave Swallows
Tree Swallow - trying very hard to look like a Bahama Swallow
Savannah Sparrows
There may be more stuff, but the rain and the fire ants chased me away. Not exactly a banner 30 minutes, but at least I got out. As Dave the Barbarian would say: "Don't just sit there: Needlepoint!"
