I would generally concur with you Bill. Now, isn't that an oxymoron? Lol. HOWEVER, I wouldn't be too quick to write off Cliff Swallow though. On December 9th, 2006 at STA-5, we had a definitive Cliff Swallow, seen by multiple observors, including some more knowledgeable than me! Lol. In fact, we had five species of swallows at STA-5 that day: Cliff, Barn, Bank, Tree and Northern Rough-winged. To show you how "unusual" STA-5 is comparatively speaking with regard to other places in south Florida at this time of the year, Northern Rough-winged Swallow is BY FAR the most common swallow species at STA-5 in winter. Today we had an estimated >500 of them. Trees were around 100. . . .
