With regard to this bird being a possible Florida Scrub-Jay, as far as I am aware, there are no Florida Scrub-Jays anywahere near the North Ft. Myers bird was seen. It is a trailer park. The nearest colony (if <4 can be considered a colony) of known Florida Scrub-Jays is some 20+ miles to the east. Last time I checked, Florida Scrub-Jays aren't known for their vagrancy. I would be the first to admit that the North Ft. Myers bird may never be definitively identified. However, in my mind at least, that shouldn't preclude further discussion of this bird. It is a "humbling" experience for those of us less-skilled in ornithology to learn all of the nuances of bird identification from the "masters" out there.
